DOEL WILL BE POETICISED ON 10 MAY, 13 HRS

On Sunday, 10 May starting at 13 hrs, the village of Doel will be "poeticised" at the initiative of village poet Frank De Vos. Several poets will write Doel-minded poems on white PVC canvases which will be fixed to houses so as to form a symbolic buffer against demolition. We intend to poeticise Pastorij Street with about 70 poems.
Some renowned authors will take part in this event: Peter Holvoet-Hanssen, Didi De Paris, Hendrik Carette, Martin Carrette, Thierry Deleu en Axel Daeseleire. The façade of the former parochial centre will be adorned with 11 poems by former village poet Mark Meekers.
Several musicians will play music in the streets, textile baron Didi De Paris, who celebrates his birthday that day, will receive a nuclear power plant as birthday present. The public will be given iodine tablets in the form of sugar candy beans. Axel Daeseleire and his "Adamava" art group will show an installation with conveyor belts…
Not to be missed, this unique event!
This is another peaceful, artistic and dignified KunstDoel protest against the planned demolition of Doel.



KUNSTDOEL-INSIDE EXHIBITION DAYS


On 24 May, 28 June, 2 and 30 Aug from 14 to 18 hrs, the works of nine renowned Belgian artists inside the houses of villagers may be viewed.
